Treasurer's Message Since everyone who attended the April and June meetings were pleased with Mehlman’s, we will be there for our September and November meetings. I will need a head count to give to Mehlman's so they will be able to set up the room for us. You can mail it to me or call me to let me know if you plan to attend. Community Service Projects
September—Baby Sprinkle for Miracle of Life—Suggested items: Gift cards for Walmart, Gabe’s, and Dollar Tree, Cash, Toddler everyday clothes size 12 months to 3T, baby blankets, baby toys, books, baby bottles, diapers, baby clothes, baby afghans, onesies, and toddler toys
November—Veterans in area assisted living and nursing homes. Suggested items: socks, men’s t-shirts, playing cards, dice, puzzle books, sugar free hard candy, pens, pencils, shaving supplies, toothpaste, toothbrushes, caps, hats, denture cleaners, denture brushes, non-perishable snacks, and jigsaw puzzles, cash. Don’t forget our women veterans! Please no underwear.
MEETING LOCATION CHANGE!!!!!!!! The BelCORTA September and November meetings will be held at Mehlman’s Cafeteria. We are going to be meeting at Mehlman’s Cafeteria. Our meeting will be held in the back room—so members will need to walk up the ramp to that section. Please arrive at Melhman’s Cafeteria between 11:30 and 11:45 to give yourself time to go through the serving line. Meeting will start at 12 noon. Cafeteria workers will refill coffee, tea, and iced tea for us. Please remember that the gratuity is not included when you purchase your meal.
Thank you! A special heartfelt thanks to Nancy Thomas for her years of service as recording secretary. Loreen Custer has volunteered to accept the position of recording secretary. Bring a retired colleague to a meeting! New members are welcome at all meetings! In order for our organization to survive we MUST have officers! Please consider helping our organization continue to provide scholarships to future teachers
